Author Mary Suzanne Lopez

 Mary Suzanne Lopez

The author has traveled in Mexico, Venezuela and all through Central America.  She lived four years in Costa Rica, a year and a half on its banana plantations where her Costa Rican husband cropped-dusted by helicopter,  and her first baby was born in a rudimentary dispensary in the middle of the jungle. It was there in Coto 47, she immersed herself in the culture and customs of the local and was able to pick up the language. Eight years later, those same jungle roads would be their escape route as she rescued her three kidnapped children from their abusive father and made a mad dash for freedom.

Ms Lopez has since remarried, had three more boys and lives a quiet life in the little town of Sand Springs, OK. With all six children grown and on their own, she’s finally taken the time and advice of friends to write down her harrowing experience. All the Way Home, which is getting five star reviews on amazon.com, was selected by Anchor Distributors as one their “top picks of new releases of 2009.”

The author is a member of Tulsa NightWriters and OWFI (Oklahoma Federation Writers’ INC).
