Ed Murray
Ed Murray joined the NEWS 9 team in July 1981 as a sports anchor and reporter. Murray moved from the sports department to the news department in January 2000. Ed Murray now co-anchors with Robin Marsh for the NEWS 9 morning newscasts and co-anchors the Noon newscast with Melissa Maynarich.
A native of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Ed Murray was the sports anchor and director for WBBH in Fort Myers, Florida before coming to NEWS 9.
Ed Murray is also very involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Murray has co-hosted local segments of the annual telethon since 1985.
In 1994, while Ed Murray was producing and anchoring the station's sportscast, the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters awarded NEWS 9 with a "Sportscast of the Year" award.
Ed Murray and his wife Kathy are the proud parents of four boys. They reside in Crescent, Oklahoma.
