Published Book Contest 

1. Author must be registered for BookFest.

2. Book must be published in 2008 or 2009

3. Send copy of book, entry fee, and entry form to
            Heartland New Day BookFest
            PO Box 30960
            Edmond, OK 73003-0016

4. After bookfest, books will be donated to local  
    school libraries.

5. Categories are Children's, Teen, Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry

6. Entry fee - $15.00 each book, each category

7. Awards given for top 4 in each category
   (must be at least 3 entries for a category to make)

8. Awards will be presented at the Awards dinner
    Friday, April 9, 2010, 6:30 PM

 Most Professionally Attractive Table

The public will vote on the table each visitor finds the most professionally attractive the day of the

book fest itself, Saturday April 10, 2010.

Those registered are expected to provide covering for their tables.

Student Essay Contest 

1. Students need to enter through their schools.
     Divisions: elementary, grades 4 - 5
                        middle school, grades 6 - 8
                        high school, grades 9 - 12

2. Subject is "A New Day in the Heartland"
     Actual topic per division will be in guidelines.

3. No entry fee

4. Schools can get contest guidelines by emailing
          organizer.bookfest@live.com

5. Schools will submit the winning essays as an
     email attachment (Word doc or PDF)  to
     secretary.bookfest@live.com and a printed copy to
     the  following address (see guidelines for format
     information):
